Collapsed UK retailer Joules Group’s finance chief leaves – Reuters

Nov 25 (Reuters) – Joules Group’s (JOUL.L) finance chief Caroline York has left the struggling British clothing retailer after just over a year in the role and a week after it went into administration.

In a brief statement on Friday, the company did not name York or say why she was leaving. Joules, or its administrators Interpath Ltd, were not immediately reachable for more details.

Joules became the latest retail collapse in Britain after its finances, profitability and cash flow came under pressure amid a cost-of-living crisis that has pinched consumer spending.

York, 49, joined Joules as chief financial officer in August last year from insurance-price comparison website Moneysupermarket.com (MONY.L).

Last week, reports also emerged that South African retailer TFG (TFGJ.J) was exploring a bid to take control of Joules.
