SCORE of Eastern Connecticut is offering two free webinars this month, organizers said in a release.

— Dec. 8: In a Zoom webinar from noon to 1 p.m. with creative director Maria Miranda, “2023: The Year Branding Thrives.” In the presentation, attendees “will learn new ways to energize your message with measured success, how to connect with your audiences, why authentic and engaging impressions matter more than ever, and more,” according to the release. — Dec. 14: A webinar from 2-3:30 p.m., “The Three-Page Business Plan,” will feature SCORE mentor Eric Munro discussing “a unique approach to thinking about and writing a Business Plan in three pages of text with three spreadsheets,” according to a release. “The objective is to set you on a path to developing a well-thought-out plan with a minimum of work and “agony.” The presentation will cover how to produce the plan appropriate to your needs and situation while ensuring the utility of the content,” it said. Housatonic River Job Network sets Dec. meetings

MILFORD — Job interviews and best practices for success will be the subjects of the Housatonic River Job Network’s meetings for December, organizers said in a release.

— Dec. 2: Guest speaker will be Tina Kadish, a business coach, motivational speaker, author and trainer. The topic will be “The Best Strategies to Prepare for a Job Interview.” Kadish will speak about “mastering all facets” of an interview, including how to prepare, what recruiters and companies are looking for, how to follow up and more, organizers said.

— Dec. 9: Guest speaker will be Paul Mayer, president of The Schegg Group, and the topic will be “Job Search 2022 — The Best Strategies for Success.” According to a release, The Schlegg Group “is a leading firm in the state which offers a full range of personalized career transition related services including outplacement, executive search, and personal coaching for job seekers.” The talk will touch on networking and resumes to cover letters and interviews, as well as how those “stuck in a rut will be able to get on the right track,” the release said.
